The article examines the growing number of new problems in the field of food security that are emerging in the global economy and politics. The study of the increasing number of materials in scientometric libraries on interdisciplinary connections in the field of food security was conducted using discourse and content analysis. As a result of the two-stage analysis, key semantic accents were identified and the frequency of references to the most significant thematic elements in current scientific discussions was determined. It was also established that the topic of food security is not limited to traditional scientific fields, and confirms the need to integrate knowledge from different disciplines in order to gain a deeper understanding of this issue, which increasingly includes sociological, political, economic, environmental, and other aspects. The authors opinions in scientific publications were ranked according to their subject matter. The thematic rank of the authors' judgments in scientific publications was taken into account by calculating the concordance coefficient. Changes in the coefficient from 0 to 1 allowed us to assess the low, medium, and high degrees of unity and consistency in the judgments of authors in the media and scientific fields. The research identified new micro-themes that highlight the most significant issues related to food security, such as the pandemic and sanctions. In conclusion, it is noted that despite the changes in the political situation, it remains important for Russia to work on the quality and diversification of its exported products, maintaining its stable leadership position in the international arena.
