The article deals with the features of theoretical approaches to the study of the problem of legal regulation of labor protection in the Russian Federation. The author comes to the conclusion that the legal system of labor protection in Russia is still imperfect, it is necessary to perform a significant amount of legislative work. The most important task of the state in the field of legal regulation of labor protection is to create and consolidate the legal basis for ensuring the right of citizens to safe and productive work.
