FACTORS OF DEVELOPMENT OF THE MILLING INDUSTRY AND THEIR IMPACT ON THE ECONOMIC EFFICIENCY OF ENTERPRISES
Abstract and keywords
Abstract:
The systemic feature of the milling industry is the steady maintenance of low profitability, high dependence on the cost of raw materials, rising financial and energy costs, as well as increased competitive pressure. The formation of these trends is due to the influence of a set of interrelated factors that determine the operating conditions of organizations and the results of their economic activities. The article identifies and systematizes factors into two groups: external (energy and raw materials, market, institutional) and internal (production, technological, financial and economic), formalizes a conceptual factor model that considers the effectiveness of industry development as a result of the complex impact of a combination of external and internal conditions of the flour industry organizations. The proposed model was tested based on an analysis of the dynamics of profitability of sales of organizations in the milling industry of the Krasnodar Territory, prices for grain raw materials and milling products, as well as the key rate of the Bank of Russia. It has been established that the level of profitability is determined not by individual economic indicators, but by their cumulative impact, which forms the operating conditions and the ability of organizations to ensure sustainable development.
