Abstract.<\/em> <\/strong>In the subject field of management, the functionality of the information system for managing personnel competencies is studied extremely rarely and is represented by single publications of an applied nature. The article is intended to contribute to the elimination of this research gap while achieving the goal of the study — to propose a methodological approach to the management assessment of the functionality of the personnel competency management information system. Methods of literature synthesis, functional analysis and clustering were used to study the automation of competency management functions in 13 original information systems. 3 functional clusters of competency management information systems have been identified. Recommendations are given both for employers’ organizations when forming technical specifications for the automation of personnel management functions, and for domestic software developers when forming a competitive offer, as well as government authorities and education authorities that solve the problem of eliminating gaps in competencies at the industry and cluster levels.<\/p>\n
