Abstract.<\/em><\/strong> The purpose of this study is to assess the mineral resource potential and the possible transformation of the directions of nature management in the development of the resources of the Arctic zone of the Far East (AZDV). Assess the expected environmental situation and possible changes in production and natural relations in these territories in order to select the most reasonable, economically sound and environmentally justified development scenario. The work revealed ten main changes in the indicators characterizing the mineral resource potential of the AZDV. The mineral resource potential, and especially the predicted resources of the main deposits included in the AZFV as a whole, can affect the increase in the attractiveness of the considered territories in terms of attracting investment in its mining industry, namely the development and production of coal, non-ferrous and precious metals, diamonds and rare earth metals. The development of these types of raw materials, under certain technical and market conditions, both on the domestic and foreign markets, may in the future play the role of accelerating the socio-economic development of the AZDV territories. In this regard, in the structure of industry, the extractive industries will acquire key importance and there will be a transformation in nature management with the strengthening of the production structural direction. As a result, the ecological situation in the given territory will worsen and the ecological and economic imbalance will increase. Ultimately, irreversible processes in the environment are likely and, as a result, the deterioration of the living conditions of the population. Therefore, the priority, as well as in the near future, should be measures not for industrial development, but aimed at the enhanced development of environmental protection in nature management, and in the future, economically justified and environmentally acceptable development of the Arctic territories.<\/p>\n
