On the example of the Rostov region, the composition and structure of tax and levy receipts into the budgetary system of the Russian Federation are considered, proposals are justified aimed at eliminating the currently existing imbalances in interbudgetary relations of the Russian Federation (in particular, the authors propose an increase in the share of municipalities in the structure of distribution of gross taxes by some types of taxes up to 15%), which will significantly improve the financial support for the implementation of the powers of local self-government bodies established
