В настоящее время в развитии нефтяной отрасли возникают проблемы при разработке новых месторождений. Зачастую, это вызвано распространенной несоразмерностью между подготовительным этапом добычи нефти и ее непосредственным извлечением, снижением качества структуры ресурсов нефти и повышением доли труднодоизвлекаемых запасов (ТРиЗ). Нет единого определения термина трудноизвлекемых запасов, но в общем случае под ним предполагают запасы, «разработка которых традиционными технологиями не обеспечивает необходимой эффективности с точки зрения коэффициента нефтеотдачи, а в некоторых случаях - также с позиций стоимости добычи нефти» [1]. В таких запасах низкопроницаемый и малопористый коллектор, аномальные характеристики нефти (высокая вязкость и плотность).
