The article is devoted to the issues of placement of burial objects in the conditions of urban development and compliance with urban planning requirements in the development of the territory. Rational organization of populated areas with population growth is currently an urgent task. Such an organization is necessary for the formation of a sustainable integrated development of the city. The cemetery is an integral element of any settlement, therefore, the choice of the location of the burial object should be based on the established urban planning requirements and regulations. The paper presents the parameters provided for by regulatory legal acts of the federal level, according to which the assessment of burial objects in the city of Tyumen was carried out; systematization of city cemeteries by categories is given; the analysis of the burial objects was carried out according to the parameters reflecting their actual state; Violations of object placement parameters were identified and recommendations for their elimination were proposed.
