В статье исследуются различия между понятиями «лидерство» и «руководство», черты лидера и его роль в инновационном развитии. Проведен сравнительный анализ взглядов российских, украинских и западных ученых на феномен лидерства в современном обществе. На основе биографического метода анализируется харизматичность лидерства В.А. Стародубцева.
