В статье излагаются понятие, сущность и формы реализации земельных отношений и землеустройства. Изложены основы теории землеустройства, основные этапы его развития в нашей стране. В общих чертах описаны система землеустройства в России, ее цели и задачи, методы работы. Особое внимание уделяется вопросам государственного регулирования земельных отношений, выделены вопросы научно-технического обеспечения создания системы многоукладного землепользования и современного землеустройства.
