the article is devoted to solving the urgent problem of optimizing urban space on the basis of the developed author's project "Memorial Park". This project combines many factors: relevance to modern urbanization trends, environmental usefulness, social benefits, rationality of the use of territories. The meaning of the concept is that a memorial park with green spaces will be created on the site of the cemetery territories, which is chosen either by the deceased himself during his lifetime or by his relatives. This project was created taking into account the regulations governing and supporting the activities of the funeral sphere in the Russian Federation.
