Самой  главной причиной падения спроса на с.-х. технику является диспаритет цен на продукцию села и промышленных предприятий. Эта тенденция сохраняется и сегодня. Без реальной и действенной поддержки сельских товаропроизводителей, переработчиков сельскохозяйственной продукции и предприятий изготовителей сельскохозяйственной техники, оборудования и других материально-технических ресурсов страна будет вынуждена в огромных масштабах закупать импортную продукцию. Низкие темпы пополнения (обновления) машинно-тракторного парка не позволяют решить проблему обеспечения продовольственной продукцией населения страны. Одним из мер смягчения критической ситуации является своевременное обеспечение фактического парка машин запасными частями. Перед всеми товаропроизводителями АПК (фермерских хозяйств, подсобных хозяйств различных предприятий, крестьянских подворий, садово-огороднических товариществ, сельхозпредприятий и т.д.) стоит проблема обеспечения МТП запчастями. Система ресурсообеспечения сельского хозяйства страны не справляется с такой задачей. Резкое повышение цен на технику привело к проблемам по списанию и приобретению современной техники. Одной из главных причин падения спроса на с.-х. технику является диспаритет цен на продукцию села и промышленных предприятий. Эта тенденция сохраняется и сегодня. Низкий уровень обновления техники, т.е. низкие темпы пополнения (обновления) машинно-тракторного парка не позволяют решить проблему обеспечения продовольственной продукцией населения страны. Моральный и физический износ МТП большинства хозяйств достигает критического уровня. Одним из мер смягчения критической ситуации является своевременное обеспечение фактического парка машин запасными частями.
